About Us:  We have been rolling composite bats since 2005 in the Northern Ohio area.  We have rolled over 1500 bats to-date and use only the best machine in the business, the  Panther XR-400. 

The Panther  XR-400 is a parallel/perpendicular rolling machine that does 2 sections of the bat at once as well as the entire barrel in one pass.  We pass each section of the bat through the machine 25 times meaning the entire bat gets completely rolled on 4 different compression settings. 

There are companies out there that use only parallel rollers that do the entire barrel at once but this is very stressful on the bat itself and can decrease its life span.  The best technique is to roll the entire bat perpendicular, then parallel. We take our time and roll bats both parallel and perpendicular which takes us longer, but is better for the bat and increases the durability.  There may be other individuals out there that will roll bats cheaper but like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for".

What We Don't Do:  We do not shave bats at all!  Shaving a bat consists of removing the end cap and shaving the inner wall of the bat.  This sounds great in theory, as it will help the trampoline effect, which is what makes the ball jump off the bat.  The problem with shaving a bat is that your bat is now 100% illegal in every association, ASA, NSA, USSSA, and ISA.  As soon as someone questions your bat, the league manager can take the bat and send it into the manufacturer.  The manufacturer will cut the bat open to see if it has been shaved and if so you will be banned from playing ball again in your local area.  Is that really worth an extra 5 feet, which is really the most that you will get out of a bat by shaving it over rolling it?  Shaving a bat also voids your warranty so if something happens you will have to buy a new one and have it shaved again.  It can also open you up to a lawsuit if you injure someone with a ball struck by an illegal bat.  Are all of those possibilities worth it, we didn't think so.  We will gladly roll your bat which will get you the extra distance you need right away and you don't have to worry about being booted from your league, isn't that the reason we buy bats, to play.
